Uncovering Chemical Signals in Complex Cellular Environments with Open Microfluidic Methods
We develop microscale devices (approximately the size of a credit card) to better understand cell signaling in human diseases such as asthma. Further, we are developing new methods to create freestanding gel structures, such as artificial blood vessels that can be integrated with our cell signaling platforms, using novel gel sculpting approaches. We design these technologies to be user friendly so they can be used widely in clinical and biological research.
