AOB Postdoctoral Fellow Tal Sharf Leads Team Awarded $1.9M in Funding From the NSF
Congratulations to Tal Sharf, PhD, (2016 AOB Postdoc) Assistant Professor of Biomolecular Engineering at UC Santa Cruz, for leading a team of researchers recently awarded $1.9M in funding from the National Science Foundation. The team will create an interactive system to test the ability of brain organoids to learn from experience, respond to feedback, and solve tasks in real time. The award is an Emerging Frontiers in Research and Innovation (EFRI) grant, supported by the NSF's Biocomputing Through Engineering Organoid Intelligence Program.
