BYI Maria Jasin Received The Pearl Meister Greengard Prize

Congratulations to Maria Jasin, PhD (1991 BYI) for being awarded the Pearl Meister Greengard Prize, recognizing Outstanding Women in Biomedical Research. Professor Jasin is one of our earliest Beckman Young Investigators and currently is the William E. Snee Chair at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. The prize is granted by Rockefeller University and puts a spotlight on the accomplishments of women scientists. Her work centers on the repair of damaged DNA in cells which has led to better understanding of cancers linked to gene mutations.
