David Liu Honored with HHMI 2025 Breakthrough Prize in Life Sciences

Congratulations to David Liu, PhD, (2002 BYI) for being named one of eight Howard Hughes Medical Institute's Breakthrough Prize awardees for developing two gene-editing technologies. Known as base editing and prime editing, the technologies enable the correction or replacement of virtually any genetic mutation.
