Research Summary

My thesis focused on using enzymatic and synthetic approaches to modify structurally complex natural products, including kratom alkaloids and marine-derived compounds, to investigate their biological activity and structure–activity relationships. This research expanded my training in natural products chemistry, biocatalysis, enzyme engineering, analytical characterization, and multidisciplinary drug discovery.

Research Title:

Investigation of solid tumor selective cytotoxins produced by the marine sediment-derived Streptomyces sp. CP55-76
