SHELDON M. SCHUSTER, Ph.D., has served as President of Keck Graduate Institute of Applied Life Sciences (KGI) in Claremont, CA, since 2003. A member of the Claremont Colleges, KGI educates future leaders of the bioscience industry through distinctive programs offering an integrated life science, engineering, and business curriculum and focusing on industry projects and collaborations. KGI’s School of Pharmacy welcomed its first students in the fall of 2014.
Dr. Schuster joined the faculty of the University of Florida in 1989 and was the Interim Assistant Vice President for Research, Director of The Biotechnology Program, and Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He has worked at the Institute for Enzyme Research, University of Wisconsin and was a professor of Chemistry and Biological Sciences at the University of Nebraska. Dr. Schuster is a graduate of the University of California at Davis and earned his Ph.D. from the University of Arizona.
