Dr. Matthew Akamatsu Named Recipient of 2020 Porter Prize & MCB Outstanding Postdoc Awardee

Double congratulations are in order for 2016 AOB Postdoctoral Fellow Matthew Akamatsu, PhD winner of the 2020 Porter Prize for Research Excellence from the American Society for Cell Biology. Dr. Akamatsu's outstanding postdoctoral research will be rewarded with a plaque and $4,000 grant.

In addition, Dr. Akamatsu was one of the five postdocs to win the 2020 Outstanding Postdoc Award for UC Berkeley's Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology.
