What Is It?
BeckmanConnections is an online meeting place for our community of exceptional scientist awardees. It is an online forum and email list created to facilitate communication among Arnold & Mabel Beckman Foundation awardees, alumni and community members to connect and share ideas, network, communicate career opportunities, and solicit feedback.
How to Join

How it Works
Once your subscription request has been approved, you will receive an email confirmation with links on how to join the online forum and to set your communication preferences.
You will then begin receiving emails sent by other members based on the designated communication preferences.
Guidelines
- This community is exclusively for awardees of The Arnold & Mabel Beckman Foundation.
- The Arnold & Mabel Beckman Foundation does not sanction or endorse the content of the information exchanged through the email list, except when posted by our staff acting in a professional capacity. Opinions or points of view expressed in a group message are those of the author alone.
- All members of the email list must adhere to the AMBF Code of Conduct* and we reserve the right to remove anyone who does not.
- Share what you know. Chances are, someone can benefit from what you have to contribute.
- Be courteous.
- Please don’t be a spammer.
- Your post won’t appear immediately. Posts are moderated.
- Be known. Please include your award year and award type in your signature (e.g. 2022 BYI)
- Include a hashtag in your subject to further categorize your post (e.g. #conferences).
What Types of Topics Should I Post?
If you are looking for career advice, contacts at specific institutes or conferences, or to network, BeckmanConnections is a great place to start. If you have an opening in your lab, we have a great network of scientists here who might be able to put you in touch with the right person. Maybe you are about to interview at an institute – reach out to your fellow awardees for insight about the University. It’s also a great way to ask for advice from others who have had experience with the challenges you’re facing!
